Pinned vs Linktree: which link in bio fits your job (2026)

By The Pinned team · Updated October 25, 2026 · 8 min read

Full disclosure: I'm the founder of Pinned, so I'm biased. I still want this Pinned vs Linktree comparison to help you even if you end up on Linktree, so I'll say plainly where it wins.

The short answer: if you sell digital products, courses or affiliate picks from your bio, or you want email signups on your page, Linktree is the better tool today. Pinned's link in bio sells nothing and collects no emails right now. If you stream or game, and you want your page, the Pinned social media scheduler and a media kit for one price, Pinned fits better.

What Linktree is built for

Linktree started as a simple list of links, and today it's also a small storefront: digital products, courses (powered by Kajabi), a Linktree Shop of affiliate products and sponsored links. Shops and sponsored links are US only. It collects email and phone signups on every plan, auto-replies to Instagram comments with your link, and its Social Planner schedules posts to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts and Threads.

The real difference

Linktree is built around earning from the click. Pinned is built around what a streamer does every week: go live, post about it, remind people about the next event, and show sponsors the numbers. Pinned's free page already has a live badge that turns on by itself when you go live on Twitch or Kick, a weekly stream schedule and a Discord invite card. So the useful question is which job your bio does.

1. Pinned

Best for
streamers and creators who want their page, scheduler and media kit in one place
Price
Free plan; Creator $39/month or $390/year, 14-day free trial
Sells products
No: no store, tips or email signups

Pinned is one web app with a link in bio page, a social media scheduler, analytics and a media kit builder. It started gaming first, so the page has what streamers ask for: the live badge, a stream schedule, upcoming events, a Discord card and follower stats that sync on their own. The Creator plan adds the scheduler for up to 15 accounts, a custom domain and no watermark.

The scheduler publishes today to X, Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Discord server channels. TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Google Business Profile are coming soon.

The catch: Pinned's link in bio sells nothing and collects no email or SMS signups right now. It's also a small, founder-led company with no native mobile app; it's a web app that works on phones.

2. Linktree

Best for
selling digital products and courses from a familiar link in bio
Price
Free plan; Starter $6, Pro $12, Premium $30 per month billed yearly
Sells products
Yes: digital products, courses, shops, sponsored links

Linktree is the default for a reason: it's simple, cheap to start, and has iOS and Android apps. The free plan gives you unlimited links, one featured link, email and phone signups and 28 days of analytics.

Starter is $6/month billed yearly ($8 month to month). Pro is $12/month billed yearly ($15 month to month) and hides the Linktree footer and adds email integrations. Premium is $30/month billed yearly ($35 month to month) and adds 0% Linktree fees on digital products and courses, unlimited scheduled posts and data export. Pro and Premium have a 7-day free trial.

The catch is the fees on the lower plans. Linktree's pricing table lists a 12% fee on digital product and course sales on Free, and 9% on Starter and Pro. Stripe adds 2.9% + $0.30 per purchase on every plan. The Pro plan card on the same page says 0% fees, so confirm the fee for your plan before you count on it.

Where Linktree is better

  • Selling. Digital products, courses, shops and sponsored links. Pinned has none of this.
  • Email and SMS signups. Every Linktree plan collects them. Pinned's page doesn't collect emails right now.
  • Price for a plain page. If you only want a clean page without branding, Linktree Pro at $12/month billed yearly costs far less than Pinned Creator at $39/month.
  • TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube Shorts. The Linktree Social Planner posts there now. On Pinned they're coming soon.
  • Instagram auto-replies. Comment-to-DM on every plan, from 1,000 sends a month on Free to unlimited on Premium.
  • Mobile apps. Native iOS and Android apps. Pinned is a web app.

Where Pinned is better

  • Streaming. The live badge is on the free plan, next to a weekly stream schedule and clips, and Creator adds events with add-to-calendar buttons. Linktree can embed your Twitch stream and chat, but its feature table lists no live badge or stream schedule.
  • Discord, Bluesky and X posting. Pinned's scheduler posts to all three. None of them is on the Social Planner's platform list.
  • Event reminders. Create an event once and Pinned schedules the reminder posts to your socials and your Discord.
  • A media kit. Six templates, stats pulled from your connected accounts or typed in by hand, shared as a link and shown on your page.
  • No post caps. Creator includes unlimited posts across up to 15 accounts, with more than one account per platform. Plann's help center lists 10 scheduled posts a month on Linktree Free and 50 on Pro.

Pricing compared

A solo streamer who wants a page without branding: Linktree Pro is $144/year billed yearly, or $15 month to month. Pinned Creator is $390/year, or $39 month to month, and part of that pays for the scheduler and media kit. If you don't need those, Linktree is cheaper.

A creator who wants a page plus unlimited scheduling: Linktree Premium is $360/year billed yearly, or $35 month to month, and covers TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube Shorts. Pinned Creator is $390/year and covers Discord, Bluesky and X, plus the media kit. The prices are close, so pick by platform.

A small team or agency: Linktree sells team seats through its custom-priced Agency and Enterprise plans. Pinned Business is $100/month per brand, or $1,000/year, with up to 10 team members and AI agents that run on your own AI key, so model usage is billed by your provider on top. See the Pinned pricing page.

My pick

Pick Linktree if you sell from your bio. Digital products, courses, affiliate shops and email signups are what Linktree is built for, and Pinned does none of it today. Linktree is also the right call if you mainly need TikTok or Pinterest scheduling, or you just want the cheapest clean page.

Pick Pinned if you stream, game or run a community on Discord. The free page gives you the live badge and the stream schedule, and Creator puts your scheduler, events, media kit and analytics in one place for $39/month. If you also sell, keep your store where it is and link to it from your Pinned page.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pinned a good Linktree alternative?

Pinned is a good Linktree alternative if you stream, game or post to Discord, Bluesky and X. The page has a live badge, a stream schedule, events and a Discord card, and the Creator plan adds a scheduler and a media kit for $39/month. It's a poor fit if you sell from your bio, because Pinned has no store, digital downloads, tips or email signups right now.

Does Linktree charge fees on sales?

Yes. Linktree's pricing table lists a 12% fee on digital product and course sales on the Free plan, 9% on Starter and Pro, and 0% on Premium. Stripe also charges 2.9% plus $0.30 per purchase on every plan. For Shops and affiliate links, Linktree's cut comes out of your commission, as its fees article explains.

Can Pinned sell digital products or collect emails?

Not right now. Pinned's link in bio has no storefront, digital downloads, courses, tips or payments, and it doesn't collect email or SMS signups. You can still add a link to a store or a newsletter signup page you run elsewhere. If selling from your bio is the main job, Linktree, Beacons or Stan will serve you better today.

Which is cheaper, Pinned or Linktree?

For a page without branding, Linktree is cheaper: Pro is $12/month billed yearly or $15 month to month, against $39/month or $390/year for Pinned Creator. With unlimited scheduling, the two are close, since Linktree Premium is $30/month billed yearly or $35 month to month. Both have a free plan. Pinned's paid plans start with a 14-day free trial, and Linktree's Pro and Premium with 7 days.

Does Pinned post to TikTok?

Not yet. TikTok is in TikTok's app review, and YouTube, Pinterest and Google Business Profile are also coming soon. Today Pinned publishes to X, Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Discord server channels and Shopify blog articles. If you need TikTok scheduling now, Linktree's Social Planner already covers it.
