Account settings is where you manage your profile, your sign-in email, how the dashboard looks, the emails you get and your password. It's available on every plan, Free included.

Open Account settings

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings.
  2. Use the list on the left to jump to a section: Profile, Appearance, Notifications, Security, Custom domain, API keys, Plan & billing or Danger zone.

Some changes apply the moment you make them. Others wait until you click Save changes at the bottom of the page. Each section below says which is which.

Change your profile picture

  1. In the Profile section, click the circle next to Profile picture. Its hover tooltip reads Upload a profile picture.
  2. Choose an image from your device.

The picture updates as soon as you choose it, and you don't need to click Save changes. It shows across your dashboard and can be used on your Link in Bio page.

Change your display name

  1. In the Profile section, click the Display name field.
  2. Type the new name.
  3. Click Save changes.

If the name can't be saved, a red message appears above the button, for example Couldn't save your display name.

Change your handle

Your handle is the last part of your page's address: pinned.gg/ followed by your handle.

  1. In the Profile section, click the Handle field.
  2. Type the new handle. Pinned turns letters to lowercase and keeps only letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores.
  3. Click Save changes.

When you click out of the field, Pinned checks whether the handle is free. If someone else has it, a red message appears under the field: That handle is already taken. Choose a different handle and save again.

Verify or change your email

The Email field is your sign-in email. Next to the label, a Verified or Not verified badge shows where it stands.

Verify your current email

If your email isn't verified, a red notice says You haven't verified your email — some features and account recovery need a verified address.

  1. Under the Email field, click Verify this email.
  2. When the button reads ✓ Verification email sent, open the email and click the link in it.

Change your email

  1. Click the Email field and type the new address.
  2. Click Verify & save new email. This button appears once the address differs from your current one.
  3. Open the verification email sent to the new address and click the link. Open it in a browser where you're logged in to Pinned.

If your current email is verified, it changes as soon as you click the link. If it wasn't verified, Pinned switches to the new address right away and the link verifies it.

If the address isn't valid, you see Enter a valid email address.

Note

Messages from a contact form on your page are delivered only once your email is verified.

Choose Dark or Light and an accent color

  1. Scroll to the Appearance section.
  2. Click Dark or Light. The change applies instantly and saves as your default across Pinned.
  3. Under Accent color, click one of the seven circles. Hover over a circle to see its name: Blue, Gold, Purple, Teal, Green, Pink or Orange. The circle you chose shows a check mark.

The accent color changes your dashboard's highlights, buttons and menus. Every color is tuned for both light and dark mode.

Set your email preferences

In the Notifications section there are two switches:

  • Email notifications: product updates and account activity. Click Save changes after you turn it on or off.
  • Marketing emails: occasional news, tips and offers from Pinned. This saves as soon as you click the switch. If it can't be saved, the switch returns to where it was.

You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time with the same switch.

Reset your password

  1. Scroll to the Security section.
  2. Next to Password, click Reset password.
  3. Open the email Pinned sends to your account address and follow the link.

When the button changes to Reset link sent, the email is on its way. The link expires in 1 hour. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive. If the link can't be sent, a red message appears under the button.

Save your changes

At the bottom of the page, click Save changes. The button reads Saving… while it works and Saved when it's done.

Click Save changes after you edit your display name, your handle or Email notifications. Your profile picture, theme, accent color, marketing consent and email verification don't need it.

Other settings sections

Log out or delete your account

The Danger zone section at the bottom has two buttons.

Log out

Click Log out. You're signed out and taken to the login page.

  2. Read the confirmation message and confirm.
  3. If Pinned asks for your password, enter it to confirm. If you signed up with Google or X, log out and back in, then try again.

When the deletion finishes, you're taken to the signup page.
