The Social Board puts your posting tools side by side: a composer for new posts, then the columns you choose, such as your scheduled posts, notifications, X trends and events. Use it when you want to write, review and reply from one screen.
Note
Available on the Creator and Business plans.
Before you start
- Connect your accounts on the Connections page. See Connect your social accounts. Notifications, trends and account filters depend on them.
- Check which features your plan includes in Choose a plan and upgrade.
Open the Social Board
In the sidebar, click Social Board.
Look at the first column, New post. It is always first and holds the composer. It works the same as the Create a Post page, so see Create and schedule a post for every option.
Check the top bar. On larger screens it shows how many posts are scheduled and how many columns you have, for example 5 posts scheduled · 5 columns. On phone-sized screens this count is hidden so the view buttons and theme toggle fit.
If you use workspaces, the Personal (all accounts) switcher at the top narrows the board to one workspace. See Work with workspaces and teams.
Follow the first-visit tutorial
The first time you open the board, a Welcome to your scheduler column walks you through setup. It shows your step, for example Step 1 of 4. The steps are:
- Add all 6 columns: use the glowing Add column button.
- Move a column: drag a column header left or right.
- Schedule a test post: use the composer, then the glowing Schedule post button.
- Customize your stats: the last step points to an Edit stats button in the Analytics column. If you don't see that button, click Skip tutorial.
To leave early, click Skip tutorial. If your board is empty, Pinned adds all six columns for you. When every step is done, the column reads Tutorial complete. Click Finish, take me to my board to close it.
The tutorial calls step 3 a practice post. After you schedule it, check the Scheduled column and delete the post if you don't want it.
Add a column
- At the end of the board, click Add column.
- Choose a column from the list: Scheduled, Posted, Notifications, Trends · X, Events or Analytics.
Each column can be on your board once. Once all are added, the list reads All columns are already added. Your layout saves automatically and is there next time you visit.
Move or remove a column
To move a column, drag its header to a new spot. Hover over the header and the tooltip reads Drag to reorder.
To remove a column:
- In the column header, click the settings icon on the right.
- Click Remove column.
Removing a column only takes it off your board. You can add it back with Add column.
Review your posts
The Scheduled column lists your scheduled posts, drafts waiting for approval and posts going out right now, soonest first. The Posted column lists published posts, newest first. The number beside each title is how many posts it holds. An empty column reads Nothing here yet.
- Click a scheduled post or draft to load it into the composer, where the heading changes to Edit scheduled post or Edit draft. Make your changes, or click Cancel to leave without saving. A post that is publishing can't be edited until it finishes.
- Click a post in Posted to see where it was published.
- If a post fails, a red notice at the top of Posted reads, for example, 1 post failed to publish. Check the platform connection and try again. See Manage scheduled and published posts for how to fix and retry.
Filter a column by account
Once you have two or more connected accounts, the Scheduled, Posted and Notifications columns show an Accounts button in the header.
- In the column header, click Accounts.
- Choose All accounts or a single account.
The button then shows that account's name. Each column has its own filter.
Reply to notifications
The Notifications column refreshes every 30 minutes. It shows X mentions, quotes, likes and reposts, Facebook Page comments and YouTube video comments. More platforms are coming soon.
To reply to a comment, mention or quote:
- In the Notifications column, find the card.
- Click Reply.
- Type your answer in the box. Its hint reads "Reply to" followed by the person's name.
- Click Send reply. Click Cancel to close the box without sending.
Once sent, the card shows Replied. If a reply can't be sent, a message starting with Reply failed: appears and the box stays open so you can try again.
Likes, reposts, follows and Facebook comments have no Reply button.
With no notifications, the column reads No notifications yet — comments, mentions, likes & follows from your connected accounts will show up here.
On the Free plan the column is blurred, shows a preview, and reads Notifications are a Creator feature. No real notifications load. Click the upgrade button to unlock it.
Start a post from a trend
The Trends · X column lists what's trending on X. Click the plus icon beside a topic to open the composer with that topic filled in. Trends refresh every 4 hours.
If the column says that live trends couldn't load right now, connect your X / Twitter account on the Connections page and check back.
On the Free plan the column is blurred and reads Trends are a Creator feature. Click the upgrade button to unlock it.
Create an event and a reminder post
The Events column lists your events. These are shared with the Events element on your Link in Bio page. See Add events to your page.
In the Events column, click New event.
Enter the Event title. It's required.
Optionally, fill in Description.
Set the Date and Time. Both start at the current date and time.
Click Create event.
To promote an event:
- On the event's card, click Create reminder post.
- Check the composer. It fills in a reminder with the event's title, day and time, and sets the post to go out 24 hours before the event starts.
- Edit the text if you like, then click Schedule post.
Check your page analytics
The Analytics column shows Views, Clicks and CTR for your pinned.gg page over the last 30 days, with a small chart of the last 14 days. Click View Advanced Analytics here to open Advanced Analytics. See Track your analytics.
On the Free plan the column is blurred and reads Analytics are a Creator feature. Click Upgrade to Creator to unlock it.
Switch to the calendar view
At the top right, two icon buttons switch the view: the columns icon and the calendar icon. Click the calendar icon to see your posts by day.
- Use the arrow icons beside the month name to move between months.
- Each post shows its time and text. Drafts have a dashed outline, and a post going out reads Publishing… first.
- A day shows up to three posts, then a +N more line with the number of extra posts.
- Posts can be scheduled up to 35 days ahead. Dates past that are greyed out.
- The calendar shows the last 60 days of history. Older posts are in Advanced analytics.
For a fuller calendar, see Plan with the content calendar.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Accounts button
It appears only when you have two or more connected accounts. Connect another on the Connections page.
I can't click a post to edit it
A post that is publishing can't be edited until it finishes. Wait a moment and try again.
A column is missing from the Add column list
It's already on your board. Each column can be added once.
Notifications are empty
Notifications refresh every 30 minutes and only cover X, Facebook Pages and YouTube. Check that those accounts are connected, and that the Accounts filter is set to All accounts. Notifications also need the Creator or Business plan.
The Trends or Notifications column is blurred
These columns, like Analytics, are Creator features. On the Free plan they show a preview only. Upgrade to use them. See Choose a plan and upgrade.
