The Data Analyst is the agent for numbers and ideas. Its four tasks are Competitor Watcher, Analytics Reporter, Trend Researcher and Evergreen Recycler. Use them to see what competitors are doing, read a report on your own accounts, find topics to post about and bring back your best older posts.

Note

Available on the Business plan.

Nothing is posted, sent or changed without your click. Every task gives you a report or proposals that you review first.

Before you start

Open the Data Analyst

  1. In the sidebar, click Agents.

  2. Click the Data Analyst tab.

Each card has a Run button and a Schedule switch. Manual runs are limited to 15 a day, and each run takes about two minutes. Finished runs appear under Runs on the same page. For the run page and its buttons, see Run and schedule agent tasks.

Check what competitors are publishing

Competitor Watcher looks at what each competitor published on their site and posted on X since the last check, and reports what changed. It reads a site through its sitemap. An X handle adds their recent posts and follower count.

  1. On the Competitor Watcher card, click Run.
  2. In the form, look at the Competitors list. It starts with the competitors saved in Agent settings. You can list up to 5.
  3. Give each competitor a name, and a site or an X handle.
  4. Click Check competitors.

The first check for a competitor is a baseline, so nothing is marked as new yet. Later checks compare against the previous one. The report covers new posts, how often they publish, follower changes and what stood out on X. It also gives you 3 to 5 insights you can act on, such as a topic to cover or a gap nobody covers. Dismiss an insight on the run page when you're done with it.

To read X profiles, connect an X account.

Get a report on your numbers

Analytics Reporter writes a short report on your page, accounts, posts and search, and ends with three experiments to try. It compares your page views and link clicks with the period before, and your follower counts with the previous report. It also counts your posts by status and platform, and how many notifications the Community Manager handled. Search numbers appear when your SEO Tool is set up with Google Search Console.

  1. On the Analytics Reporter card, click Run.
  2. Under Window, choose Last 7 days, Last 14 days or Last 30 days.
  3. Click Write report.

The window ends yesterday. Search Console reports a few days behind, so the search numbers cover a window that ends three days before today.

Your first report has no follower comparison, because there is no earlier report yet. If you have no page views, accounts or posts to report on, the run says "Nothing to report yet — publish your page, connect an account, or schedule a post".

For your page's own numbers, see Track your analytics.

Find trends to post about

Trend Researcher reads what is trending on X and news from the last 72 hours for your topics. It keeps what fits your niche and drafts one or two posts for each trend, with the days the trend stays timely and a suggested time. It returns up to 5 trends. It also reads your recent posts so the drafts continue your tone.

  1. On the Trend Researcher card, click Run.
  2. In Topics, check the list. It starts with the topics from Agent settings. You can have up to 6. Changes here apply to this run only.
  3. Optional: in Brief (optional), say in your own words what to cover and what to avoid. The limit is 4,000 characters.
  4. Click Find trends.

If you have no topics, the task builds some from the niche in Agent settings. News is checked for the first 4 topics. A draft you were already offered in the last 30 days isn't proposed again.

Drafts are written for your connected platforms. With none connected, they are written for X and LinkedIn as copy-only text.

On the run page, click Schedule on a draft to put it on your calendar. The date is moved to today if the trend's window started earlier. Instagram, TikTok and YouTube drafts need media added first.

Bring back your best older posts

Evergreen Recycler picks your best posts from more than 30 days ago and rewrites them for another run. It ranks posts by X and YouTube numbers where it has them, and otherwise by reach and recency. It proposes 5 to 8 posts, or fewer when fewer qualify. It keeps each original's media and suggests dates within the next two weeks, in open slots on your calendar. It skips posts tied to a date, sale or launch. A post it picked in the last 30 days isn't picked again.

  1. On the Evergreen Recycler card, click Run.

This task has no form. It starts straight away. On the run page, click Schedule on a pick to add it to your calendar. If the suggested date is taken, the post moves to the next open slot.

Run tasks on a schedule

Turn on the Schedule switch on a card to run that task automatically. Each card shows how often it can run: Trend Researcher at most daily, the other three at most weekly. See Run and schedule agent tasks for cadence, weekday and hour.

Scheduled Competitor Watcher and Analytics Reporter runs can also email you the report. You turn this on in Agent settings.

Schedules run in your device's timezone and pause after three failures in a row.

Troubleshooting

Competitor Watcher couldn't read a competitor

Check the site address and the X handle. The site needs a sitemap that lists its blog posts. Without a connected X account, X handles are skipped. When nothing can be read, the run says "Nothing could be read from" your competitors' names and asks you to check their site URLs and X handles.

The form asks for a competitor

The form shows "Add at least one competitor with a name" or "Each competitor needs a site or an X handle". Fill in those details and click Check competitors again.

Trend Researcher asks for topics or a niche

Add topics in the form, or add a niche or topics in Agent settings, then run it again.

Evergreen Recycler finds nothing

It only looks at posts published more than 30 days ago. It works once your posts have been live for a month. It can also say that none of your older posts read as evergreen this time.

A run is refused

You can start 15 manual runs a day, and the same task can't run twice at once. Scheduled runs keep going when your manual runs are used up. If a run says no language model is set up, see Connect your own AI model.
