Connect your social accounts
Connect X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and LinkedIn to Pinned so it can publish your scheduled posts, and manage which accounts are active.

Connect your social accounts so Pinned can publish your scheduled posts to them. You do it all on the Connections page, by signing in with each platform. This works on every plan.
Open the Connections page
- In the sidebar, click Connections.
- Find the Social integrations section. Each platform has its own card.
Under the section heading, a line such as "0 of 1000 active connections used" shows how many of your connected accounts are active. The number after "of" is your plan's limit. See "Turn an account off and on" below.
Connect X / Twitter
- On the X / Twitter card, click Connect.
- Sign in to X and approve the request. While Pinned hands you over to X, the button reads Authorizing….
- Back on the Connections page, the card reads "Connected · 1 of 1 account active".
The same X account also works as a way to sign in to Pinned. See Manage how you sign in.
Connect Facebook Pages and Instagram
One Facebook sign-in connects both. Instagram posts go through a Facebook Page that is linked to an Instagram Business or Creator account.
- On the Facebook card or the Instagram card, click Connect.
- Sign in to Facebook and approve the request.
- Back on the Connections page, each card shows how many accounts are active. For example, the Facebook card reads "Connected · 1 of 2 Pages active".
If the Instagram card says "Facebook connected — link an Instagram Business account to a Page to publish", Facebook is connected but Pinned found no Instagram account. Link an Instagram Business or Creator account to one of your Pages on Facebook, then reconnect.
If the Facebook card says "Connected — no Facebook Page found", Pinned found no Pages to publish to. See "A Facebook Page or Instagram account is missing" below.
Click Disconnect on either card to disconnect Facebook and Instagram together.
Connect Threads
- On the Threads card, click Connect.
- Sign in to Threads and approve the request.
- The card reads "Connected · 1 of 1 account active".
Connect LinkedIn
- On the LinkedIn card, click Connect.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and approve the request.
- The card reads "Connected · 1 of 1 account active".
LinkedIn posts go to your LinkedIn profile.
Platforms marked Coming soon
These cards show Coming soon instead of a connect button, so you can't connect them yet:
- TikTok: scheduling is under review.
- YouTube
- Google Business Profile
Connect more than one account
Once X, Threads or LinkedIn is connected, the card's button changes to Add account. Click it and sign in with the next account. Each account is listed under its card.
Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts all come through your one Facebook connection, so there is no Add account button for them. Every Page and Instagram account Pinned finds is listed under its card.
When a platform has more than one account, a Hide accounts link appears under the card. Click it to collapse the list. Click it again, now reading "Show 3 accounts" (the number is your count), to open the list.
Turn an account off and on
Each account row shows Active or Inactive. Only active accounts count toward your limit and can be chosen as publishing targets.
- Find the account on its platform's card.
- To pause it, click Deactivate. The row changes to Inactive.
- To use it again, click Activate. The row changes to Active.
New accounts turn on automatically while you are under your plan's limit. The limit counts active accounts across every platform together. On the Creator plan it is 15 active connections. On the Business plan it is 1000.
When you reach the limit, the count line adds "deactivate one to activate another, or upgrade for more". If you click Activate at the limit, Pinned shows a message that your plan allows that many active connections and asks you to deactivate one first, or upgrade. See Choose a plan and upgrade.
Remove an account
- Find the account on its platform's card.
- Click Remove on its row.
For X, Threads and LinkedIn, removing an account disconnects it. Connect it again if you want to use it later.
For Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts, removing hides the account from your list. When you have removed some, a button starting with "Restore" and the number, such as "Restore 2 removed", appears above the cards. Click it to bring them back.
Connected accounts sit under their card with a Remove button. The example below shows a Discord channel.
Connect Discord, Bluesky, Twitch, Kick and Shopify
These platforms connect differently and have their own guides:
- Discord and Bluesky: Connect Discord and Bluesky
- Twitch and Kick: Connect Twitch and Kick
- Shopify: Connect your Shopify store
Once your accounts are connected, see Create and schedule a post. If you use workspaces, see Work with workspaces and teams.
Troubleshooting
A Facebook Page or Instagram account is missing
Pinned only lists the Pages and Instagram accounts you gave it access to. To add more:
- On Facebook, go to Settings, then Business integrations, then Pinned.
- Choose "View and edit".
- Check every Page and Instagram account you want to use, then save.
- Return to the Connections page. The accounts appear on your next visit.
Instagram accounts must be Business or Creator accounts linked to one of your Pages. If you removed a Page earlier, click the "Restore" button to bring it back.
An account says to reconnect
Some rows add a note after the name:
- On X: "reconnect to enable posting" or "reconnect to enable media".
- On Threads: "reconnect to load the profile".
Click the platform's Connect or Add account button and approve the request again with that account.
The account is already connected to a different Pinned account
A social account can be connected to only one Pinned account at a time. If you see a message that the social account is already connected to a different Pinned account, it is linked to another Pinned account of yours, such as an old or test one.
For Facebook, Pinned moves the connection to your current account for you. You see a message that it is moving, then a confirmation that Facebook is connected and that this is now its only active connection. The old account loses that connection. If the move fails, try connecting again, or open a support request.
For other platforms, log in to the other Pinned account and remove the connection there, then connect it again. If you can't, open a support request. See Get help from Pinned support.
Pinned couldn't start the authorization
You see a message such as "Couldn't start the X authorization. Try again." Click Connect again. If it keeps happening, write to support@pinned.gg.
The page says it couldn't finish connecting
A message such as "Couldn't finish connecting" followed by a reason means the platform sent you back with a problem. Click Connect and try again.
I closed the sign-in window without finishing
Nothing is connected and no error appears. Click Connect to start again.
You can disconnect a platform at any time. Pinned's access ends immediately. You can also revoke it from the platform's own settings.
